Easter Vigil times

Q: Fr. Paul, due to Covid-19 pandemic, I cannot ask any retired priest to help me celebrate mass at my 2nd parish during the Sacred Triduum. So, I wonder if it would be liturgically okay for me to celebrate Easter Vigil at 5: 00PM, the weather will not be completely dark at that time? Thanks for your help in advance.

A: I would avoid that if I could. It would be better to start later but abbreviate the liturgy. The fire can be simplified at the door. You only need 3 Old Testament readings. The psalms may be eliminated. Not ideal, but the baptisms could go to a different Easter Mass.
