Q: I am a deacon and can no longer kneel during the Consecration. What have been doing is bowing at the elevation of the host/chalice and the go to the stand upright position as the celebrant is standing up from genuflecting after the elevation of host/chalice. Any suggestions on the best gesture would be under these circumstances?

A: God bless you for wanting to continue your service as a deacon and to show proper respect for the events of the Mass.

What you’re doing is fine.
