Q: On page 47 of your book, Eucharistic Reservation: Holy Communion and Worship of the Eucharistic Mystery Outside Mass, you refer to the introductory rites associated with The Order of Distributing Holy Communion Outside Mass: The Rite with a Fuller Celebration of the Word of God. You state there “Nor does this ceremony begin with the sign of the cross.”
In No. 27 of the official rite, the note says “…the minister begins with the Sign of the Cross, then greets those present.”
Can you elucidate?
