Q: Regarding the deacon who cannot tolerate alcohol, for what it is worth, I served at a parish where we had a deacon who was an alcoholic. He was initially concerned about consuming the Precious Blood, but he found that he could take a small sip (as we are instructed to do), and he had no problems with that. Of course, he was not available to consume any remaining Precious Blood. I certainly do understand your proposal to use mustum, as that is what is directed, and I agree with that.
