Q: Regarding adoration and reposing if an ordained minister is not available to re-position. I know there would be no benediction but should the non ordained person in charge of reposing lead in song and closing prayers or should it be just a solemn/reverent repose of the Blessed Sacrament?
A: The order for exposition of the Holy Eucharist says that a special minister of communion or other person appointed by the Ordinary may expose and repose the eucharist for the adoration of the faithful (91). The leader offers a prayer (98). There is no blessing, as you correctly state. Then when the ceremony describes the reposition (100), it says that the people may sing or say an acclamation.
