Q: A question without notice on receiving someone from another Christian denomination. I seem to remember reading that where a convert has demonstrated a deep commitment to their Christian faith, they need not receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Do you have any insight on this?

A: You have received incorrect information. Another Christian who becomes Catholic is to be confirmed in every instance during the Order of Reception into the Full Communion of the Catholic Church.
This should be seen as a source of joy, not a punishment!
