Q: Stations of the Cross as I understand usually is an altar server going around each station with the cross.
I was asked whether candles could also go round with the cross? I didn’t think they were but not sure as to the reason why, liturgically or otherwise!
What is the correct way to do it? Many thanks

A: There is no formal way to celebration the Stations because they are not found in any liturgical book.
For the proclamation of the Passion at Mass on Palm Sunday and Good Friday, no candles are used. But candles may still accompany the processions at the beginning and end of Mass.
I think it’s fine to include candles in the Stations. But you don’t have to.
