Regarding your recent post on Feasts of the Lord, I think all anniversaries of church dedications are Feasts of the Lord, no matter the title of the dedication. Lateran is a Universal Feast, I suspect, because it’s Rome’s cathedral.

You’re right on both points. This is why the Commons in the Missal and Liturgy of the Hours begin with texts for Church dedications and then those for the Blessed Virgin Mary.
