Q: Hope you find time to help us. Sorry if you have already answered this question and I am not aware.
In the Order of Mass, no 1, it says: “When the Entrance Chant is concluded, the Priest and the faithful, standing, sign themselves with the Sign of the Cross, while the Priest, facing the people, says: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
And at the end of the Mass, the Concluding Rites, no 141, when the Priest blesses the People, for sure he makes the sign of the Cross. But for the people, nothing is said about them making the sign of the Cross like at the beginning of the Mass. Is there any explanation for this or was it simply overlooked because almost everybody makes a sign of the Cross?
