Creed at a wedding

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q: I understand that the ritual calls for the Gloria to be sung or said at weddings with mass, but under what circumstances would the creed be said?

Thanks for your insight!

A: If the wedding Mass takes place on a Sunday or solemnity, then it includes the creed. So, at a Saturday evening wedding Mass, the Creed is recited after the Universal Prayer (OCM 69). At a Saturday morning wedding Mass, it is not recited—unless that Saturday happens to be a solemnity that calls for the creed.

And if it’s a wedding without Mass, the creed is not included.
