Distribution of communion on Good Friday

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q:  On Good Friday the Missal directs that the priest “proceeds to distribute Communion to the faithful” (#28).  Is this to mean that others may not assist in the distribution to the people?  Is there anything which prohibits the distribution of these Consecrated Hosts into other ciboria (prior to “Behold the Lamb of God…”) so that this can be done, especially when there are large crowds of people at Good Friday and a single priest to distribute would make this very long?

A: Others may assist in the distribution of communion on Good Friday under the usual conditions for communion ministers (insufficient clergy for the size of the congregation).

Nothing prohibits distributing the consecrated hosts into other ciboria.
