Regarding RCIA 70, Exorcism and Renunciation of False Worship, a student asked if there was such an ocassion to use this (with the permission of the bishop) would you use it, for example, for one person, at the same celebration with others becoming catechumens?
In over 30 years I never had this pastoral situation.

A: The RCIA doesn’t say, so I imagine that either option could be appropriate. If the renunciation were better done in private, the person could celebrate that ceremony with a priest or deacon on a different occasion from that of the other catechumens.
