Q: I have a question about the imposition of Ashes and the threat of viruses and other sicknesses. Our diocese is already encouraging the limitation of contact and I wonder if there is anything on the liturgical books about alternatives. I’m curious what you , yourself, would do in your parish?

A: We’ll impose ashes as usual, but dropping ashes on top of the head is acceptable.
