Q: Are the celebrant and concelebrants required to consume -at least by intinction -the consecrated wine? Right now that seems dangerous given our current lack of certainty about how this virus spreads.
==
A: All priests who celebrate or concelebrate are expected to receive communion under both kinds. A celebrant may not intinct his own host, but concelebrants may intinct theirs.
If the number of concelebrants is relatively small, each could drink from his own chalice. It is not ideal, but neither is this pandemic.
