Intinction

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q:  Is it sufficient for the presider at Mass to intinct his host, or must he drink from the chalice?

Recently the remnant of the precious blood in the chalice was inadvertently consumed by the deacon, after the chalice was offered to other ministers for intinction.

I trust Mass was not invalid/illicit?

The priest must consume both the Body and Blood of Christ. He offers the cup next to the deacon, then to other ministers.
