Q: Please offer some counsel on liturgy as ‘performance’ and as part of the arts. I have been criticized for being too theatrical. Younger parishioners and many visitors on the other hand affirm the way I lead the liturgy and interact with the assembly. I am keen to explore further the relationship between liturgy and the ‘performing arts’. I think there is a growing literature in this area.
