Mass intentions

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q: I understand that it’s permissible to accept more than one mass intention for a mass – with restrictions. One of those is to have the donors agree to it. Practically, how would we do that?

A: If you already have an intention scheduled when someone requests one for the same mass, same day, the parish secretary, for example, could provisionally accept the donation, and then contact the person who has already reserved that mass. If that person agrees, then it’s fine.
