More on left handed

Q: As a lefty, I would like to say something about the two questions recently asked about using the left or the right hand https://paulturner.org/left-handed/. As a DRE for more than 40 years, I respond that everyone makes the Sign of the Cross with their right hand, the same as people always salute with their right hand. Saluting with the left hand is not an option; using the left hand to make the Sign of the Cross is not correct.

However, for communion the instructions should say to place the hand one writes with, underneath your other hand. That way the hand that is dominant (stronger and more coordinated) is used to put the host in your mouth.  We no longer require everyone to eat or write with their right hand either. So use the hand that your brain prefers and that you are most comfortable with when taking communion and putting the host in your mouth.
