Q: In this morning’s Mass (Friday 5 Lent) there was an optional collect that includes the words, “imitate devoutly the Blessed Virgin Mary”. I don’t think I’ve seen any other weekday with an optional collect. Can you explain? Is it a holdover from the Paul V or Paul VI Mass?
