Orations at a Scrutiny Mass

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q: When a parish celebrates the Scrutinies during Lent are the orations of the respective Third, Fourth, and Fifth Sunday of Lent used at the Sunday Mass or the orations from the Missal “For the Celebrations of the Scrutinies” including the inserted commemoration for the respective Eucharistic Prayer?

A: At the Scrutiny Masses, the priest should use the orations from “For the Celebrations of the Scrutinies” including the commemoration in the Eucharistic Prayer. These replace the usual orations for the respective Sundays in Lent, which are to be used at the other Masses where no scrutiny takes place.
