Q: At last Sundays Mass after the Homily the congregation said the Prayer of Creation and then the Creed was omitted. When I queried this it was suggested the presider didn’t want to put us to the trouble of saying 2 long prayers, and that the POC was very similar to the Creed anyway. Any thoughts?

A: The two statements have different purposes. The Creed has a regular place in the Sunday Mass. Another opportunity may be taken for all to recite a common prayer concerning creation.
