Q: Often, for the Procession of Gifts, in regard to the bread, the celebrant’s bread is not included but is on his paten on the altar. This bread is therefore excluded as being part of the Gifts being brought which I feel is somewhat remiss.
A: I found the same practice when I started my work as pastor of our cathedral a few months ago. We just changed it. All the bread comes up in the procession of the gifts.
