Purificator instead of corporal

Q: For Extraordinary Ministers of Communion taking Jesus to the sick, instead of a corporal, can a purificator be used instead to lay the pyx on a table?

==

A: HCWEMOM 19 says that when communion is administered outside a church, a table is prepared, “covered with a cloth.”

It doesn’t say what color or kind. A corporal would be appropriate, but any cloth will do. That said, a purificator has a different function: wiping the rim of the chalice. It would not be consistent with the purpose of a purificator to use it as a cloth on the table. Any other cloth would serve better.
