Q: Do you have any insight regarding the re-translation of the RCIA? Has there been any serious talk/plan for any revisions to the rite or the National Statutes?

A: ICEL has completed its work, so the next steps are in the hands of the 11 English-speaking conferences of bishops and the Vatican.
My hunch is that the USCCB will request the same adaptations we have now. I don’t know where things stand with the Statutes. Nor do I know how the Vatican will respond to these.
I expect we’ll know something in the next year or two. I’ve been asking around, but I find it very hard to read the tea leaves.
