If you open the missal to the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of Lent, you’ll find the pertinent rubric at the top of the page ahead of the entrance antiphon. A mass on those days that includes the Rite of Election or a Scrutiny uses the presidential prayers from the ritual mass, not the Lenten mass of the day.
