Rites of Initiation

Q: Once again thank you for being such an invaluable resource!  Our diocese suspended public worship after the 3rd Sunday of Lent.  The Bishop celebrated the Rite of Election on the First Sunday of Lent and our parish celebrated the First Scrutiny on the 3rd Sunday of Lent.

The Bishop has dispensed the Elect from the remaining scrutinies.  As we begin to navigate the return to public worship we are expecting the Bishop to allow for the celebration of the Rites of Initiation for the Elect outside the Easter Vigil.  My question is this:  Can the presentation of the Creed and Lord’s Prayer be omitted under certain circumstances?

A: You may omit the presentations. If pressed, they are optional even without a pandemic, though they are quite lovely and their celebration is generally to be encouraged.
