Q: During the Seven Last Words Service on Good Friday, is it Ok to bring the candles that are normally used at the altar and place them by the Ambo?  Are the candles reserved only for the altar?

A: Seven Last Words is a devotional exercise that does not need to observe all the rubrics for Mass. The missal only calls for candles at the altar, but they could reasonably be moved elsewhere for a devotional exercise.
