Wedding service on a solemnity

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q: Is a wedding service – not Mass on the solemnity of Sts Peter and Paul allowed to be conducted? And if so, what readings to use at the communion service, select from the OCM(Order of Celebrating Matrimony) or from the solemnity?

Much appreciation always for all your advice.

A:  It is allowed. Because no mass is involved, the readings should come from the Order of Celebrating Matrimony.

See my book Inseparable Love for more information on how the liturgical year has an impact on weddings.
