Q: Can the Rite of Acceptance be done at the start of the Mass with the parish assembled outside and then entry into the church or is there a defined place in the Mass when this occurs? We will be celebrating the rite this Sunday.

A: Yes, it may. Instructions for combining the rite with Mass in the United States can be found in OCIA 44. It’s now called the Rite for Entrance into the Catechumenate.
