A: According to the Rite of Baptism for Children 29, the penitential rite is omitted.
So is the greeting, but this will probably be corrected at some point in the future. The third edition of the missal restored the greeting where it was missing on Palm Sunday, and I suspect that the Vatican today would want a greeting in this instance.
