Q: Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of liturgical expertise. It’s a great blessing to have you as a resource. I have a question about bowing. There is a lot of confusion among my lectors and cantors. Some bow to the altar, some to the back wall (our tabernacle is in the chapel, not the church) and some not at all.
I would like to know your opinion. If one has already reverenced the altar on entering church, is it necessary to bow again entering or leaving the sacristy? And if they do bow, shouldn’t it be to the altar as the primary focus of the celebration?
Thank you!

A: Here’s an article I did for our local NPM chapter. https://533e8b3c-d17d-4af9-8a15-d9514e0b8f52.filesusr.com/ugd/a65d27_0da689f214184196b57c5298f820ca72.pdf
