A: There is no provision for touching the monstrance during exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. I realize that this is practiced in some environments, but I cannot defend it from the rubrics.
In fact, the minister who does touch the monstrance is to wear a humeral veil so that no skin touches the monstrance during the transfer of the Blessed Sacrament and the blessing.
