Holy Men and Women

Q:  In 2017, Pope Francis canonized two of the Portuguese children to whom Our Lady of Fatima appeared, Francisco and Jacinta Marto. It was reported at the time that they were the youngest non-martyrs to have been named saints. To celebrate a votive Mass in their honor, which Commons should be used? Virgins? Holy Men and Women? Both categories seem to be a little off the mark.

A:  I’d vote for Holy Men and Women. It’s not meant to be restricted to adults. It’s more of a catchall for saints who do not neatly fit into other categories.
