Q: I have a question on celebrating the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception this year when it falls on Monday, December 9: Could I celebrate this feast on Sunday evening, after 4 PM or Could I do it on Tuesday? Since the parishioners here don’t go to Church on Monday, so I wonder if I could. Thanks

A: No, this year you may only celebrate the Immaculate Conception on Monday. It is not a holyday of obligation this year, so it’s fine if people cannot get to mass.
