Lectionary for Masses with Children

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q: A question from a primary school teacher around her class Mass in March. She was hoping to focus on a piece of scripture that they have been working on in class rather than the readings of the day. My understanding is that we have less flexibility during Lent. Is this correct? Perhaps we could look at a class liturgy instead rather than Mass?

A:  The Lectionary for Masses with Children provides a selection of readings that may be used for school masses during Lent. The lectionary is published in 3 volumes for the Sundays of the cycle, and a fourth volume for weekdays. That’s the one you may consult.
