A: Probably different people. Some commentators over the centuries have linked them, along with the sinful woman in Luke 7, but they’re drawing too many conclusions from too little data.
The Catholic Church’s Roman Martyrology lists them on separate dates. July 22 for Mary Magdalene. July 29 for Martha, Lazarus and Mary – the siblings.
