Is there any instruction on the posture for the Sequence? Some priests have told us to sit and others have instructed us to stand citing that it is linked to the Gospel Acclamation. Please advise.

Here’s what I wrote in my book, Let Us Pray:
321. The GIRM does not say what the posture of the assembly should be during the sequence (43). If all are singing the sequence, it would make sense for all to stand. But if a distinction between the sequence and the gospel seems important, all could remain seated.
