I am grateful for your blog and continued guidance in serving the liturgy of the Church.
We have a family wishing to present their newly baptized infant to our parish community after baptism abroad. Can you please suggest a suitable ritual or blessing that would be most appropriate and placement during the liturgy? My first thought is after the Prayer After Communion during the time of the announcements.

A: What a lovely thought. I would turn to the Book of Blessings rather than try to repeat or imitate something from the Order of Baptism of Children.
For example, there’s an Order for the Blessing of Baptized Children, which takes place outside Mass, but introductory comments at no. 142 could be incorporated at the beginning of Mass, one or more intercessions could be included in the Prayer of the Faithful (no. 148), and the prayer of blessing and sprinkling of water at no. 150 could be part of the final blessing.
The Book of Blessings also has an Order for the Welcoming of New Parishioners. In this case, the infant could be presented after the greeting at Mass (1932), and the name may be included in the Prayer of the Faithful (1933).
