Sedar/Passover

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Q: Some decades ago, at parishes, in religious communities and on retreats,  etc some  people used re-enact (?) a Sedar/Passover meal prior to the Celebration of The Lord’s Supper.

I suspect this custom is no longer appropriate today, given the need to be more sensitive and respectful of a sacred Jewish ritual?

Is there any way you suggest the meal which Jesus commemorated with his followers on the night before he died can be commemorated by Christians? Is there any script available, one which respects Jewish sensibilities, that has Jewish and Catholic authorisation?

Thanks Paul for your wonderful leadership in matters liturgical.

I suggest you invite a Jewish rabbi to the community for a presentation about the Seder instead.
