St. Stephens Day – clarified

In Paul Turner's Blog by Paul Turner

Re St. Stephen https://paulturner.org/st-stephens-day/ : I’m pretty sure that as far as historic origins go, Stephen and Christmas are unrelated – which is not to say that it isn’t a happy juxtaposition. St Stephen appears in the early 5th c Armenian (Jerusalem) calendar on December 26 but on that calendar Christmas is celebrated on Jan 6. Jerusalem doesn’t adopt December 25 until late in the 5th c.
